The beautiful pleasant reed house was named after its builder. The builder was born in 1854 to slavery. He moved to the city of Biloxi right after the civil war.
The Redding house is actually a colonial Revival home. This home is listed in the national Register of historic place.

In the year 1848, the Biloxi light house was erected. Since then, it has been welcoming sailor. It also provides a fabulous view of the scenic gulf coast area.

The early era of 1700 was ruled by famous architectural marvels, namely; the Spanish captains Quarters and the old French house both these structures reflect distinct architectural style & cultures of the region that prevailed in the past. Today, the old French house is a restaurant and serves well to provide the best of gastronomical delight to the visitors.

The grave stones of the first French settlers are situated on the old Biloxi cemetery. The visitors can have a glimpse of these gravestones on a visit to this region.

The fort Massachusetts situated on the western tip of Ship Island was once inhabited by the confederate army. It was captured in the later years by union Troops. The troops used the fort as a prison.

The ground portion of this fort houses a confederate cemetery, library & a summer cottage. Tours are offered during summer, spring & fall.
